The Site Coordinator is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative coordination for the ARCH after school program in Kentwood Public Schools.  Essential functions of this job include:

  • Constructing lesson plans;
  • Implementing a curriculum schedule;
  • Supervising and providing support for staff, students, and tutors;
  • Arranging for tutoring sessions;
  • Maintaining student records and reports including, but not limited to, daily attendance, EZ reports, and CACFP reports;
  • Facilitating student recruitment and orientation activities;
  • Ensuring the welfare, safety, and inclusion of students at all times;
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment;
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance and storage of all supplies and equipment; and 
  • Communicating with parents of students as needed in a professional and effective manner.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or a related field;
  • Two or more years of experience working in an educaiton or recreational, cultural, or community program setting with program planning and administration (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience);
  • Two or more of years experience working with children;
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification upon hire; and a
  • Valid Michigan driver's license.

Work Schedule

Most Site Coordinators work 32 to 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday, ranging between 9:30 am to 7:15 pm.   

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.
